Xanadu publishes early artist survey results
A recent article describes preliminary results of a survey investigating how artists build, maintain and sell from their websites. Have a look, it is quite revealing. To perhaps not much surprise, a lot of artists do not sell much, nor do they spend time to update their websites. If I could have a look at the data behind the results, I would be very interested to know how sales levels corresponded to investment of time and money or both in the website. I suspect there would be a direct relationship, as the more marketing you do, the more people see your work, the more chances you give yourself to sell. What do you think?
